Timetable for the railway

I'm not an expert but have used Excel for basic needs spread sheeting in the past. What I intend to do is create a system that uses a sheet to feed a display. The rate at which the display changes can be altered, so it can speed up time. e.g. 5 minute intervals can be displayed every 60 secs and so on.

I've had a bash at making up a timetable based on several manoeuvres in a 24 hr period. Here is an example of part of the data sheet:

The bracketed letters represent the station stops on my railway, O stands for Out and B for Back.

This data is 'picked' up a row at a time and used on the display sheet which is made up of several Buttons as shown below, (click to enlarge the image).

The movements across the railway are metered by availability and access. The basic map below sets out to show how the areas of the railway can be categorised, (click to display large size map)..

So adding a number to the data sheet above would direct a train to a specific platform or siding.
